Over the weekend, Rockin’1000 the 1,000+ member ad hoc “biggest rock band on Earth,” played a concert in its hometown, Cesena, Italy. They’ve just released the first video from the show, and it’s a cover of David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel.”
Looks like everybody had a helluva good time!
The website contains an application form for anyone interested in joining the band. It asks applicants to link to a video of a performance, so that “our Music Gurus can understand if you have the minimum requirements be part of Rockin’1000.” With 1,000+ people playing, they’re probably not too demanding.
Here’s a behind-the-scenes video:
Rockin’1000 gained international attention last year, when this video of its performance of Foo Fighters’ “Learn to Fly” went viral. Dave Grohl must have been happy with the result: The Foo Fighters kicked off their subsequent European in Cesena.
