Nogi Sunflower Festival

Nogi is a Japanese farming community of about 25,000 people.  For three days every summer, it hosts a Sunflower Festival, where visitors can walk through fields of more than 200,000 sunflowers.  The blooms are so high that children have to ride on someone’s shoulders to see over the top of the flowers.

This year’s festival took place this weekend.

The maze of sunflowers entrance fee is 200 yen, about $1.85.

All pictures were found on the Net.

Here’s a video from the festival, with a nice Japanese pop soundtrack.
