My first successful cheesecake!

(We won’t discuss an earlier attempt that ended disastrously when someone mistook a salt canister for a sugar canister.  It was years ago, and it traumatized me so much that this is the first time since then that I’ve tried to make a cheesecake.)

In honour of Bastille Day, it’s decorated with the colours of the Tricoleur—see what I did there?—with blueberries, raspberries, and whipped cream.

While I won’t be opening a pâtisserie any time soon, I was happy with this first effort.  What it lacked in finesse, it made up in taste.

Worthy of a late-night treat for The Golden Girls.
