Life without Game of Thrones

I suspect I’m not the only person who became increasingly restless, agitated, and fidgety as it got closer and closer to nine o’clock Sunday night.

For the past 10 weeks, I’ve gone through a little ritual every Sunday evening:  Pouring a glass of white wine, filling a bowl with cherries, or a plate with Wheat Thins and bleu cheese or pâté, dimming the lights, shutting down the distractions.

Getting ready for Game of Thrones.

Look, much as I love UnREAL and Fargo, Better Call Saul and Mr Robot, nothing else currently on television comes close to the epic, jaw-droppingly awesome scope and intensity of Game of Thrones.  It’s going to be a long nine-and-a-half-month wait for Season 7.

Many of the comments about the final episode mentioned the superb use of music during the final episode of Series 6.

“A Lannister always pays his debts.”  Here’s an audio-only capture of the orchestration that played while Cersei Corleone Lannister collected hers.
