All the Surrealism You Can Eat, from Terri Timely

This is INPUT/OUTPUT, a funny new short from Terri Timely.  You’ll want to watch it twice.

“Terri Timely” is the collaboration of two people, Corey Creasey and Ian Kibbey, who met at UC  Berkeley.  Their early work included videos for major indie artists, including  St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, and Joanna Newsom.  Most of their projects these days are commercial work for advertisers like Mitsubishi, Amazon, IBM, and Whole Foods.  You can see samples at the link.

And they occasionally find the time to produce a little gem like INPUT/OUTPUT.

My first encounter with a Terri Timely video five or six years ago, when I saw Synesthesia.   Here’s a helpful definition:

Syn·es·the·sia Syn·aes·the·sia (sĭn’ĭs-thē’zhə), n.

A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color.
