The Cruising Dead

The Walking Dead isn’t one of the shows I follow.  I remember having one of the seasonal The Walking Dead marathons on TV in the background a couple of years ago, but I haven’t seen it since then.  So this little trip isn’t for me, but I can see how it could be fun for Walking Deadheads.

The Walker Stalker Cruise is a three-day, zombie-themed ocean trip from Miami, Florida, to Nassau, Bahamas and back.  It sets sail on 15 January 2016.

It looks like most of the show’s cast will be on board.

Zombies at Sea!  That in itself has great horror movie potential.  And with the recent history of norovirus (and other) outbreaks on cruises,  it just might be a documentary.

One observation:  Women’s fashions are infinitely more interesting than men’s.

Magic Chocolate Flower Dessert

This is beautiful!

A dessert created by Joaquim Sousa for the Ipsylon restaurant in the Oitavos hotel, on the Portuguese coast.

Creative dessert master Ann Reardon demonstrates how to make the Magic Chocolate Flower Dessert.  Her How to Cook That web site is well worth a visit.

Forward, into the Past!

Two short, funny films that seem to go together.

NSFW:  Language, in both films.

One-Minute Time Machine, directed by Devon Avery, has been selected for the Sploid Short Film Festival, a “celebration of coolest short films and the filmmakers that make them.”  The submission period runs through the next few months, with an award ceremony in November.

Take a Mulligan, directed by Vince Duque, is based on David Ives’ one-act play, Sure Thing.
