Bill FitzGibbons is a Texas-based sculptor and multi-media artist who uses light to create public art installations.  He’s exhibited throughout the US and Europe.  You can see these and many more of his installations at the link.

The pyro-sculpture above—called “Olaf”, after the historical figure of Olaf the Viking—was part of an English performance piece created in collaboration with the Oxford Dance Group and composer/musician Nick Parkin.
